The Master mixer
Sixteen channel faders with meters on four dials, locked to Reason's Master Section so they work whichever instrument is selected.
The Master page turns the four dials into channel strips for Reason's main mixer. Each strip is a fader next to a stereo meter. It uses its own Reason surface, Stream Deck+ Master, which is locked to the Master Section. That means it keeps working while an instrument stays selected.
Open it with Mix on the Document page.

Using the channel strips#
Each dial controls four mixer channels, one at a time:
| Gesture | What it does |
|---|---|
| Turn | Moves the selected channel's fader |
| Press | Selects the dial's next channel (1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 1) |
| Tap a channel on the strip | Selects that channel |
The meters show each channel's level as it plays. They turn amber from −10 dB and red at 0 dB.
Getting back#
- Back returns to the Document landing page.
- Holding the touch strip returns straight to your instrument, skipping Document.
If the faders don't move#
The Master surface must be locked to the Master Section in every song, or it follows your selection like any other surface and stops controlling the mixer. See lock the Master surface. The lock is saved per song, so set up a default song that already has it.
