Dial settings
A reference for the Reason Encoder and Reason Channel Strip settings panels, covering what each setting changes and which ones are safe to touch.
Click any dial on a Reason Remote page in the Stream Deck app and its settings panel opens below. Every dial is one of two actions: Reason Encoder for parameters and buttons, or Reason Channel Strip for faders with meters.
Any setting with a reset arrow can go back to the default with one click.
Reason Encoder#
MIDI#

Dial#

Appearance#

Text#
| Setting | What it does |

Colours accept #RRGGBB or #RRGGBBAA. An alpha of 00 makes a colour fully transparent, so the strip art behind shows through. Text settings are kept separately for each parameter count, so a quadruple dial can use smaller text than a single one.
Parameters (per slot)#
Each parameter, or slot, has its own settings:

| CC, Channel | The MIDI controller and channel it sends |
| Out port, In port | Override the dial's ports for this slot only |
| Min, Max, Step | The value range and step size |
| Ring | How the value arc fills: vol from the left · pan from the centre · spread outwards from the centre · pos a position marker · none |
| Value | How the value reads: as a percentage, a number, relative to the midpoint, as text from Reason (such as a patch name), or hidden |
| Press reset | Pressing the dial recentres this slot, as Pitch does |
Buttons (toggle and trig) have extra settings:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| On value / Off value | What the button sends when switched on and off |
| Icon, Icon colour | An icon instead of text: play, stop, record, pause, rewind or fast-forward |
| On label, On icon, On icon colour, On colour | What the button looks like when it's on. For example, Play/Stop shows Stop while playing. |
| Off CC, Off channel | Sends a different controller to switch off. Play/Stop works this way, because Reason has separate Play and Stop controls. |
Banks#
A dial can hold up to eight banks of parameters, each with its own slots. It's an advanced option, and the bundled pages don't use it.

| Editing | Which bank the slot settings above are editing |
| Fast scroll | Press and turn to scroll through banks |
| Click steps bank | Pressing the dial moves to the next bank |
| Remember bank | Returning to the page puts you back on the bank and parameter you left |
| Stack icon | Shows a small stack symbol on dials that have banks |
Reason Channel Strip#
Used on the Master page and for Master Level on the Document page.

| Out, In | MIDI ports. The Master surface uses loopMIDI Port 3 and loopMIDI Port 4. |
| Per dial | How many channels the dial holds, 1 to 4, each a fader beside its meters |
